Backstory[]
Early Life[]
Jemmai was born to her father, Masahiru, and her mother, the Noble Consort Gemmei. She was born second to her half-sister, Kurisoku, in the Kathai Kingdom, and state of Firstbourne's empire north to Audaryannipanta, the Dragon Palace.
Her father was a skilled sword maker, and earned the family much wealth, to the point that Masahiru was appointed Lord of Anaryahai, a large city in Kathai. As such, Jemmai and her family lived a very luxurious and spoiled childhood.
Following Yin[]
During the Infinite War of Creation and Destruction occurred, she fought for Firstbourne and the Dragons and was high in rank. Eventually, she was ordered to stop fighting, after her right wing was torn off in a battle.
When the Oni were mass genocide by Yin and the Myei, and the Century of Flame began. Initially, Jemmai and her family were going to go into hiding, but Firstbourne called them all to Audaryannipanta, and she and Kurisoku were appointed to lead the Dragon Taskforce. Masahiru would give the girls his Blade and left with the Dragon Taskforce to go after Yin.
Falling For Jinzin Nije[]
She and her sister would try to track Yin for years, but never found him. As she stayed longer, she fell in love with the realm, as it was much more prosperous than the First Realm. While Kurisoku had fallen for Iwa's beauty, she was still determined on serving their Queen.
Centuries went by, and Yin was still not found. While her sister was considerably frustrated, Jemmai had fallen in love with Jinzin Nije, the founder of the Nije clan. She would court him, and after spending more time with him, they fell in love and later married after Jemmai drank the Sensan Tea to become a human, and abandoned her sister and the few remaining Dragon Taskforce members.
'Death'[]
After being married to Jinzin for four years, she became pregnant with their son, Itoku. After Itoku's birth, she would be cursed by a rogue Oni. Afterwards, Jinzin would have her laid to rest in the Tombs underneath Hasu No Tera and would fall into anger, becoming a tyrant...
Appearance[]
There are several depictions of Jemmai, though they all show a tall woman with fair skin, jade-green eyes, and long hair, that is either shown to be a golden blonde or dark brown.
Often she is drawn wearing a flowy dark green kimono, with a white obi and uchikake coat, with small black floral designs. She is also shown wearing the Empress' Diadem, and crown specially fashioned for her.
