Early Life[]
Ayano was born to Mazakai Hu-Fung and Timiko Hu-Fung(née Abe). Ayano had six older siblings, one twin sister, and one younger brother. Ayano was always taught the importance of tradition and Blood purity, and Ayano believed it. In her youth, Ayano was fascinated by legends and myths, often going to the woods outside the palace by herself to explore. In general, Ayano was favoured by most of the Elite and servants, and they often told her that it was a shame she wasn't born first. Since she was born third to last, there was no way she would become the heir or any other high rank, since her siblings would get first pick. This led to Ayano developing a rather manipulative and scheming personality, and when she was ten, she convinced Mazakai to make Narumi his heir, despite Aneko being the firstborn. This led to Aneko leaving the clan and going to the Megano Clan, which got her out of Ayano's way. Despite having the power to potentially make herself leader, she decided against it, as at the time, many clan leaders were being killed off in wars.
Throughout her childhood, Ayano would get very close to both her parents, faking an innocent child-like personality. Timiko would secretly train Ayano and her other sisters in Fox Magic, and Ayano would pretend to fail at performing it when she was really the best at it.
She would act very interested in Mazakai's work, and she quickly got herself favoured in his court. She eventually got promised the position of Head Advisor from Mazakai.
Death of Mazakai & Disappearance of Timiko[]
Years later, when Ayano was fifteen, she was walking from Palace Gardens to the throne room to meet with Narumi. Before she could get to the throne room, however, she sensed a commotion in the hall. In the hall, she saw her siblings, and the Senshi and servants. She pushed through the crowd and came across a truly horrifying sight. Mazakai had been brutally murdered, and over his face was a bloody Oni Mask. Ayano ran to get Timiko, but she couldn't find her anywhere.
The Elite concluded that Timiko had murdered Mazakai. Though Ayano was very skeptical, she went along with it. Several days after Mazakai's death, Aneko returned from the Megano Clan, with Timiko. Timiko was to be burned to death, and Ayano was ready to inherit Timiko's position of Head Advisor. However, Timiko revealed her Tamamo form and shielded herself from the fires and then escaped. Ayano was made Head Advisor, Narumi married Hideyoshi Bygonbourne and became clan leader, and Aneko divorced her husband, Hisateru Megano...
Manipulating Aneko[]
Following Aneko's divorce, she lost custody over her son, Isao. Ayano saw Aneko's heartbreak and tried to comfort her sister. However, it wasn't out of charity. The first step of Ayano's master plan was to try and convince Narumi to help Aneko. However, due to the sister's strained relationship, Ayano knew Narumi wouldn't help. The second step was to convince Aneko to get Hideyoshi to cheat on Narumi with her. Since Ayano knew Hideyoshi didn't care for Narumi, she knew he would probably sleep with Aneko. The third step was to let it slip to Narumi that Aneko and Hideyoshi were together. Since Narumi was on edge due to the Hu-Fung - Namontak War, she figured Narumi would exile Aneko and Hideyoshi, and then Ayano could dethrone Narumi for her 'unethical actions' and pave way for Kodakona to become the next lord. Since Kodakona was Head General, he would be in battle frequently, and Ayano could essentially control the empire from there.
Her plan went accordingly, however, Narumi had both Hideyoshi and Aneko executed, which delighted Ayano. But, Narumi cleared Aneko's name before the execution, which irritated Ayano. To make matters worse, Ayano couldn't convince the rest of the Council of Advisors to dethrone Narumi. At that point, she trashed her plan and started to form a new one. She planned on orchestrating an assassination of Narumi so that she could rule in her place since Narumi hadn't chosen an heir. However, she didn't have too, Narumi was poisoned by someone from the Bygonbourne Clan. Ayano was ready to rule the empire, BUT Aneko was made leader instead. Ayano tried to get Aneko to abdicate in her favour, but Aneko wasn't having it and threatened to remove Ayano from her position, which made her shut up.
Battle for Gin Hagane-mura[]
The first thing Aneko did as the leader was declare war on the Megano Clan. Ayano advised Aneko not to, as the Megano Clan had the aid of several smaller clans that the Hu-Fung Clan didn't have any information on. Aneko did it anyways and officially silenced Ayano. This meant that Ayano wasn't allowed to be Aneko's presence or participate in Council meetings. Ayano was furious and began to spread propaganda around the clan, painting Aneko as a breaker of blood purity, now that the Megano Clan was destroyed. Aneko's son, Isao was brought to the clan and was made Aneko's heir, meaning that Ayano assassinating Aneko would only make Isao the next leader.
Oppression of the Tundrian Queendom[]
When Ayano's silencing was over, she still kept under the radar, as she didn't want to anger Aneko further. Ayano began to insert her influence over Isao so that once he was leader she could possibly manipulate him into making her his regent. Unfortunately, the Hu-Fung Clan was taken over by the Tundrian Queendom, and Aneko and Isao were taken to Myty. Ayano and the rest of her siblings fled to the Sykow Clan, except Lokesh, who went on the run. Now powerless as ever, Ayano tried to manipulate the Sykow Clan members. Thinking that Aneko and Isao were dead, the Hu-Fung line had broken, and Ayano was trying to convince everyone that she was their only option, the rest of her siblings had died someway or another. However, she was shocked when the Kobayasho Family brought Isao back from Myty.
Isao would train for the next few years in the Sykow Clan, and Ayano watched him very closely. When Isao was eighteen, he led the Hu-Fung and Sykow Clans against the Shinli Dynasty of Tundria and killed Royal Queen Miraah Shinli. Isao would be severely injured in the battle, and Ayano was sure he would die, but he was saved by his girlfriend, Sakiko Kobayasho. Ayano was furious and attempted to kill Sakiko and Isao with a Lethal Curse. The curse failed, and the Hu-Fung re-established itself under Isao's rule. Ayano would resume her duties as Head Advisor to him and Sakiko.
Founding The 神聖血液[]
Several years after Isao was made Lord, Ayano was still no closer to becoming Clan Leader or even regent. She began to make Blood purity more important in the clan, and many others felt the same way. A cult of Blood purists from Ingloyism soon rose up, and many began to follow them, leaving Ingloyism behind. Ayano eventually founded the 神聖血液, a group of Blood purists, and they quickly became important in the clan due to Ayano's position as Head Advisor.
神聖血液 disapproved of Isao ruling, as he wasn't of pure status. She still wanted to put someone of pure status and of her blood on the throne. So, she consulted with her younger brother, Delavario, who was in his later fifties, and the two would have a child together, a daughter named Mayura. As Mayura grew up, both Ayano and Delavario taught her the importance of Blood purity and the 神聖血液. When Mayura was in her late teens, Ayano, who was now elderly, tasked her with killing Isao, so that Mayura could be put on the throne. Mayura failed at killing Isao, but she did kill Sakiko, leaving Isao and his children devastated. Isao then abdicated for his son, Hayao.
Hayao would be a determined and powerful leader and pretty much ignored Ayano, which angered her. She then had Mayura kill him. However, Mayura said she would need to prepare. Ayano would spend this time getting close to Hayao, though this led to her doing some rather out of character things.
Hayao Falling Under The Spirit Breaking Spell []
Through some way that Ayano wasn't aware of, Hayao fell under the effects of the Spirit Breaking Spell, a powerful piece of Demonic Magic. Hayao would proceed to become a tyrant, and Ayano was very much pleased with the terror and destruction he was causing.
Death[]
Unfortunately for her, the Spell eventually wore off, and Ayano was going to have Hayao finally killed off. However, she was killed by Mayura, who wanted her position of Head Advisor.
Appearance[]
Ayano was a very tall woman with pear shape and olive-toned skin, with long black hair, glowing vermilion eyes, profound cheekbones, and long eyelashes. Being a talented shapeshifter, Ayano sometimes made her eyes appear a dark brown, and make herself look shorter.
She often wore a flowy dark red kimono with peafowl feather decorations. She often tired her hair back in a long braid.
